The Occupational First Aid Skill Set course provides appropriate training for staff who establish, maintain and manage first aid health and safety in the workplace as well as the skills to provide an emergency first aid response in the event of an emergency.

6. Respiratory Arrest

Most ACLS algorithms presume that the heart is affected in some way. What happens if you encounter patient who has a strong pulse, but is not breathing? This short course covers how to identify and manage respiratory arrest.

7. Providing Advanced First Aid

Deals with the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. Applies to workers who may be required to provide, coordinate and manage a first aid response across a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.
